Hi! I’m Gina. I’m a 35 year old nerd living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Professionaly, I work for the Dutch national gov where I advise on, advocate for, and coordinate programs around IT and tech. My niches are open source software and cloud infrastructure. I currently lead the Open Source Program Office at the Dutch Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations. I’m the person to call when programs, teams and orgs need to be build.

In my free time I like tinkering with things, starting DIY’s, quitting PhD’s and traveling the world. Besides this I’m very interested in ethical social media alternatives. I’m one of the admins of Fosstodon, a tech-oriented Mastodon server that is part of the wider Fediverse. Occassionally I volunteer at a local foodbank. I live together with Pookie and Wessie, two spoiled Tuxedo cats.

This website is meant to give an overview of my work, personal life and stories in between. I hope it will be equal parts entertaining and informative.
